Field Day

Spencer, Luke, Mallory and I went to watch Blake at field day today.  Blake loves being outside and running so he loved this.  Spencer and Luke loved watching him and trying some of the obstacles out while they weren't being used.

Bandimere: Race to Read

Blake's school had a reading program for the month of April and he really wanted to color in 4 sheets (16 hours worth of reading) so he could get some free things.  He read a lot and one of the awards he got was tickets to Bandimere's Night of Fire and Thunder.  So Dan took Blake and Spencer and met Grandpa up there to see the races (we didn't send Luke because he gets scared when a balloon pops, so race cars would freak him out).  They had a great time.  They got to see some of the racers, sit on the third row, and see the cars that shoot fire.  They loved it.
While they were gone Luke, Mallory and I went to McDonald's play place for dinner and then Luke wanted to take a bubble bath in mom and dad's tub.

Mother's Day

I had a great day with my family today.  Dan only had one meeting before church so he was here most of the morning and then after we got home from church we ate dinner quick and headed out to Nana and Papa's house to talk to Uncle Mark on his mission. {Still can't believe he's coming home in 4 months}.
I got all sorts of wonderful notes and questioners from the kids.  My favorite answers were that I am 20 years old and when Blake is at school I clean. HaHa!
Dan and the kids got me a hanging planter with flowers for the front of the house, two new shirts and breakfast in bed.
Dan and I were able to celebrate our moms this last week by going out to dinner with just our moms.  Carrie and I were able to go out with mom to Mimis' Cafe...just the 3 of us, it was wonderful.  Then another night Dan took his mom out to P.F. Changs.  It was so nice to spend time with them.

Batter Up!

We were able to have a lot of our family join us at the Sky Sox Military Appreciation Night again this year.  The weather was nice until about the 6th inning when it started pouring.  We all huddled under our coats and blankets trying to keep the 3 babies warm.  After about 15 minutes it cleared up.  It was a little chilly so Dan went and got hot chocolate for us.  When the game was over we got to watch a great fireworks show (Sky Sox firework shows are pretty good).  Spencer has been looking forward to this game since we picked up the tickets 2 weeks ago.  He brought his glove and stood with it up trying to catch a ball the whole game.  It was so cute to watch him.  He is our little sports fanatic and he was in heaven the whole night.  It was a fun night even if we were cold and wet! :)

First Whale Spout

Well...actually it's her second.  Carrie showed me how to do it last week at her house but this is the first one I did! :)  It is fun that she has enough hair to play with it a little bit!

One Decade

Today is our 10th Wedding Anniversary.  We celebrated last Saturday by getting a babysitter, going to Olive Garden for dinner and then going to a jewlery store and getting our rings updated.  Dinner at Olive Garden was fun.  It was prom night so we got to see all the high school kids coming in in their tuxes and {totally immodest} dresses.  The waiter gave us a complimentary dessert because he was impressed that we'd been married for "so long."  (He had been married for 3 years himself).
After dinner we went and I got new bands for my ring and Dan's ring is getting re-dipped and polished.  Last night before I came home from YW I tagged Dan's car so when he drove to work this morning everyone knew it was his anniversary!  We still can't believe it's been 10 years.  It really doesn't seem that long!

Spartan Race

Dan did the Spartan Race again this year.  He was getting a little nervous watching the weather all week and seeing the high today was only supposed to be in the mid 50s.  But the weather ended up being fine and he had a great time.  He was on a team with a few guys from work, Paul and Greg Lotz.  He came home all gross and muddy but had a great time!

Crafting

Carrie, Mom and I have had 3 days of crafting over the last week getting ready for the wedding/open house.  Did I take any pics of the things we've worked on?  Nope....this is the only picture I've got to document all the hard work.  And let me tell you...crafting with 6 kids aged 7 and under is hard work! :)

Week with Snowy

Blake's class "pet" (a stuffed wolf) came to stay with us for a few days.  He went skateboarding, got cold stone, helped Blake get a haircut and his last day with us it actually snowed!  Blake loved having him here as a little buddy!

Happy, Growing Baby

This little girl is growing up too fast.  We've pulled out the saucer and highchair for her to play and sit in.  She rolled over from belly to back last Sunday and we gave her some pineapple in the mesh food holder at dinner tonight.  She is our first baby to not take a pacifier.  Our boys Loved their "flaffys" but all she needs is her 2 middle fingers and she's good.  She gags on the pacifier.  I can't believe she is getting mobile and eating big people food already...it's going by too fast!

I got a Hoop!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend to get some things ready for the wedding open house and for them to babysit the kids while Dan and I went to the temple.  They loved going to the church to play basketball and then playing it on the driveway at Grandma and Grandpas house.

Forts

Man they love to build forts; inside or outside.
